While Fifth Harmony regroups after Camila Cabello's departure from the girl group last month, it seems Normani Kordei isn't slowing her roll as she shares a new solo venture mashing up a couple of Solange tracks to help welcome the new year.

On Thursday (Jan. 5), Kordei released covers of "Don't Touch My Hair" and "Cranes in the Sky" from Solange's A Seat at the Table, segued seamlessly into a single track.

Much like Solange's originals, Kordei approaches the recordings with minimal instrumentation -- favoring simple snaps with keys and harmonies -- and instead lets her vocals carry the songs, with great results.

"I was inspired by Solange's album, A Seat at The Table, from the moment that I heard it," she told USA Today. "She has clearly taken the time to create a unique body of work and emote through her music from a true place."

Last month Kordei mashed up Drake's "Fake Love" and "Sneakin'," giving us a taste of what she can do solo, as well as with her band.
