U.K. pop star Charli XCX has snagged the top spot for Musical.ly's #NextWaveDecember with her single "After the Afterparty."

The social-networking app that has inspired users to share millions of lip-syncing videos reported that more than 300,000 posts were created from the 15 #NextWaveDecember finalists, with over 76 million total views.

Last month's #NextWaveNovember winner was DJ Vice's "Steady 1234," featuring Jasmine Thompson and Skizzy Mars.

Charli XCX scored a hit in 2012 when she co-wrote and appeared on Icona Pop's "I Love It." The Iggy Azalea collaboration "Fancy" was her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and "Boom Clap" was her biggest solo hit to date, charting in the top 10 in the U.S., the U.K. and Australia.
