Willow Smith shared a new three-song collection of music on Wednesday (Dec. 7) called Mellifluous. And with a name like that, the release of guitar ballads comes with an English lesson. As the 16-year-old pointed out on her Instagram, the title means "sweet sounding•smoothly flowing."

The stripped down set is all self-produced with just Smith's voice and electric guitar, featuring lo-fi effects and powerful messages delivered through roaming melodies and her soft-but-strong singing.

The new project comes a month after Smith's response to the presidential election, "November 9."
