Meghan Trainor has been put on vocal rest, causing her to cancel her performances at the Billboard Women in Music Awards and a number of iHeartRadio Jingle Ball events around the country.

The "All About That Bass" singer took to Instagram to break the news to fans Thursday morning (Dec. 8).

This isn't the first time Trainor has been put on vocal rest. She had a vocal hemorrhage last year that caused her to undergo surgery and cancel touring plans in support of her debut album Title.

She returned in 2016 with a new album called Thank You, much to the delight of Megatrons everywhere. While she was able to complete a 30-date tour in support of the album earlier this year, she'll have to finish out 2016 away from the stage.

Trainor will be recognized at Billboard's 2016 Women in Music event with the Chart Topper award. The award show will be held Dec. 9 in New York City and airs nationally on Lifetime on Dec. 12.
