Great Good Fine Ok Plan an Emotional Vacation With 'Get Away': Exclusive Premiere

Shervin Lainez
Great Good Fine Ok

"This song is about following that instinct and making happiness the goal, even when the process is painful."

In Great Good Fine Ok’s catchy new space age song “Get Away,” the Brooklyn based synth-pop duo expounds on how they want to do just that.

“Sometimes the only way to find yourself is to get away,” bandmates Jon Sandler and Luke Moellman tell Billboard. “Whether it’s a relationship, job or a specific place, we’ve all experienced that desire to escape. This song is about following that instinct and making happiness the goal, even when the process is painful. I once justified staying in a relationship by saying to myself, ‘I’d rather be fighting than sleeping alone.’ I was wrong.”

Great Good Fine Ok have built up a following through their collaborations with acts like The Chainsmokers and St. Lucia, along with their remixes of songs by X Ambassadors, Foxes and Twenty One Pilots.

Their upcoming seven-track EP III is a collection of new songs featuring Sandler’s signature dance floor falsetto soaring over Moellman’s lush post-space age production.

III, which they are putting out independently, is set to drop on Jan. 6, 2017, preceded a tour starting Nov. 1 in Hamden, Connecticut, and conclude Nov. 22 in Columbus, Ohio. See the full dates below.

Great Good Fine Ok's "Get Away" is premiering now exclusively with Billboard. Listen to it here:
