The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) has long been dropping breadcrumbs about a forthcoming project. In a May interview with Vogue, he revealed that he was back in the studio with the production team behind his breakthrough 2011 mixtape House of Balloons. "Creatively, some magic is happening right now, and I don’t want to lose it," he said.

Republic Records executive VP/head of urban A&R Wendy Goldstein also told Billboard in July that he was working with electronic duo Daft Punk, while a source says that The Weeknd has been holing up in Hollywood's super-private Conway Studios.

A release date for Starboy is yet to be announced.
