On Wednesday afternoon, Kanye West staged a fashion show on Roosevelt Island that, to put it lightly, drew mixed reviews. From a long bus ride to an hour-and-a-half wait in the baking sun -- during which several models were compelled to sit down, and one flat-out fainted -- guests were largely displeased, if not outraged, by the event’s proceedings.

Fashion critics took to Twitter to vent their frustration, while West’s celebrity supporters -- including wife Kim Kardashian, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Lala, Pharrell, Desiigner, Anna Wintour and Carine Roitfeld -- largely stayed silent.

Here’s what Twitter had to say:

The afternoon did not get off to a strong start.

Several observers were horrified by the treatment of the models, many of whom weren’t professionals, but hired via a casting call.

The one-hour-and-40-minute wait didn’t help things, either.

Critics weren’t, by and large, enamored of the clothes.

Though The Hollywood Reporter’s Booth Moore thought the clothes showed improvement on seasons past.

Curiously, the Kardashian-Jenner clan did not tweet about the show -- save for Kylie, who jumped to defend a model crippled by a broken heel.
