Gwen Stefani brought one deserving fan onstage at her West Palm Beach, Florida concert.

Stefani was performing Wednesday (July 27) night as part of her This Is What The Truth Feels Like Tour when she spotted a fan with holding aloft a message. “My son was bullied from 1st to 5th grade. He would come home everyday upset but he’d go to his room listen to your music and smile,” the sign read. Stefani, without hesitation, stopped reading, chucked the sign and said “Get up here right now!”

The young boy hopped on stage for a tearful hug with the pop singer in front of the night’s crowd. Stefani took to Instagram to share how the fan was the “answer to [her] prayers.”

“About 3 years ago when things were hard in my life I prayed to God everyday that I could get a chance to use my gift that God gave me and make a difference in some way in this world – last night this little guy was the answer to my prayers,” posted Stefani to her Facebook and Instagram. The post was captioned with #zerotoleranceforbullies.

Stefani was clearly inspired by the young fan, as the artist posted a photo with the young boy whom she invited backstage on Twitter.

Stefani’s next performance for the This Is What The Truth Feels Like Tour is scheduled for Friday (July 29) at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Atlanta.
