Taylor Swift Fan With Cancer Gets Virtual Ticket to Hometown Show

Taylor Swift's super fan Naomi Oakes won't be attending the pop star's Tuesday show at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz., but that doesn't mean she won't be watching.

The 11-year-old who's battling Acute Myelogenous Leukemia will have her own personal live broadcast of the show, courtesy of a friend on FaceTime, the Arizona Republic reports. So while she watches from here Utah hospital room, Oakes will get to feel a bit like she is there in person.

Oakes battle with the aggressive cancer made headlines earlier this year when she adopted Swift's "Bad Blood" as her fight song to battle her own "bad blood." Swift caught wind and donated $50,000 to the young fan's GoFundMe campaign to help cover medical expenses. 

Now Oakes has finished her first round of chemotherapy and her cancer has gone into remission, according to the Arizona Republic. She will stay in the hospital as her body recovers through the next three to four months of chemotherapy treatment.
