Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan, the plucky couple that forms Karmin, is back with their first musical project since splitting with Epic Records -- and they've moved on from hip-hop covers to astrology musings. Listen to "Didn't Know You," the 'Gemini' track from the forthcoming LP Leo Rising, exclusively on Billboard.com:

Karmin's YouTube covers, effervescent live shows and Top 20 hit "Brokenhearted" helped the duo land performances on Saturday Night Live and at various award shows during the early 2010s. Leo Rising, however, marks a new phase for Noonan and Heidemann: all of the tracks on the new album, due out later this year, embody different zodiac signs, and "Didn't Know You" highlights the intensity of the Gemini archetype.

"The Gemini track is a story of betrayal," says Karmin in a statement. "We wanted the listener to feel the passion and energy in the story, so we built it on a driving bass line with a syncopated drum groove which opens up to a full rhythm section of aggressive, pissed-off drummers."

"Didn't Know You," which was produced and written by Karmin, will receive a proper music video treatment highlighted by an 1850's Western duel. Directed by Stewart Yost, the visual's release date has yet to be announced.
