'Saturday Night Live' Recap: One Direction Performs 'Night Changes' & 'Ready to Run'


One Direction returned to Saturday Night Live on Dec. 20, performing two tracks from the their latest chart-topping album, Four.

For the British group’s third appearance on SNL, members Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik delivered moving performances of new songs “Night Changes” and “Ready to Run.” Watch the video clips below.

In addition to their two musical performances, 1D also appeared in the "Girlfriends Talk Show" sketch with SNL cast members Cecily Strong and Aidy Bryant and host Amy Adams. The guys didn’t say much during the skit, but played the cool teen ex-boyfriends of Strong. Check out their silly dance moves in the video below.

One Direction Announce Holiday Special

One Direction appeared on SNL in support of their newest album, Four, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in late November. 1D is the only group to debut at No. 1 with their first four albums.

If you missed 1D on Saturday Night Live, don’t worry: the group is returning to television for their first-ever holiday special. The upcoming one-hour special, simply titled One Direction: The TV Special, will air Dec. 23 at 8 p.m. eastern on NBC.
