With just a little over a week until Christmas, we're breaking out all the Christmas music, which means in addition to classics like The Carpenters and Kenny Rogers, we're also remembering more recent additions to the "Original Song" Christmas canon -- and they aren't all "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

Today, we're looking back at Hilary Duff's 2002 teen dream Christmas jam "Santa Claus Lane," which was part of the Santa Claus 2 movie, in addition to appearing on her Santa Claus Lane album (which, throwback!, also featured duets with Christina Millian and Lil' Romeo).

While Duff was already a teen queen at this point thanks to her role on Disney sitcom Lizzie McGuire, she differed from most artists by putting out a Christmas album first, before any of her other studio works. (Metamorphosis, her best-known album, was still a year away.) Duff's album received mixed reviews from critics, but the title track became a sentimental favorite for fans of a certain age.

A little Wednesday wintertime wackiness  -- complete with some very early-aught fashion -- is below.

Does this song -- or any of Duff's holiday work -- make it into your Christmas rotation?
