The six sisters of vocal pop group Cimorelli have slowly developed a following, mostly through their smash YouTube clips, after forming in Northern California in 2007. The group’s fourth EP, Renegade, was released last month, and the title track from Cimorelli’s latest release now has an inspirational music video, which is exclusively premiering on Billboard.com:

Cimorelli has covered songs by Miley Cyrus, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry on YouTube, but Christina, Katherine, Amy, Lisa, Lauren and Dani also pen their own songs, which helped land the harmonizers a deal with Universal Music in 2010. Released on Oct. 27, the Renegade EP boasts four songs of empowering pop tracks, with “Renegade” highlighted by some unflinching rapping and the declaration, “You’re not gonna phase me/this renegade’s not changing!”

“We want to create art that encourages others to express themselves, stand up for their beliefs, accept their flaws and insecurities and inspire hope and strength in those who have lost it,” says the group in a statement. “We are committed to being positive role models in the music industry – even if that makes us renegades.”

Cimorelli recently performed their new tracks on an international promo tour, and are prepping their official debut album for Universal. Like the “Renegade” video? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
