Ace of Base Founder on Britney Spears' Unreleased 'All That She Wants' Cover: 'It Was Very Strong'

Around 2007, Britney Spears recorded a cover of Ace of Base's classic "All That She Wants" but the song never saw a proper release. 

Ace of Base Founder Discusses 'New' Album, Shares the Stories Behind the Band's 5 Biggest Hits

Speaking with ABC News, the band's Ulf Ekberg recently explained the story behind the track. 

"They wanted to release it, but that was a difficult time for her," Ekberg said. "It was only in Denmark, never finished and didn't end up on her album. It was cool though. She took the choruses, took away the verses and wrote new ones about her mom. It was very strong."

The connection between Ace of Base and Spears comes from Martin Dodd, who signed both acts to label deals early on -- Ace of Base to Danish label Mega Records and Spears to Jive.
