50 Cent has taken multiple jabs at the show Empire since its premiere, and the ferocious Cookie Lyon isn't going to let him get away with it anymore.

The rapper called out Empire earlier this year because he believed the show copies his own series Power. When asked about what he said, Empire star Taraji P. Henson responded on Twitter that she “pays attention to $ not cents.”

50 Cent & Taraji P. Henson Trade 'Empire' vs. 'Power' Jabs

Fast-forward to Wednesday night during the season 2 premiere of Empire when art imitated life as Cookie Lyon (played by Henson) threw some very meta shade at the rapper: “50 Cent still taking jabs at us. Look what he put on the 'Gram. Thirsty ass.”

In true 50 Cent fashion, the rapper took to his Instagram to respond in multiple posts.

“Can’t believe Cookie would say some shit like that about me. Thirsty, me? Thirsty? Come on, you stupid?” the rapper said in an Instagram video. He also added, “Man, me and Cookie go way back. You know I hit that.”

Now the question remains: Was this a playful jab or is the Empire crew really anti-50?

It’s worth noting that the rapper captioned the video by tagging Henson and writing “LOVE YOU GIRL LMAO” with lots of heart emojis, so maybe he's trying to get back in their good graces.

50 Cent Takes Aim at 'Empire,' Again

Empire is known for its countless big-name guest stars (Chris Rock, Swizz Beatz and Al Sharpton, just to name a few from the season 2 premiere), so if this beef is actually just joking around, maybe 50 could be invited on the show soon to rekindle his alleged romance with Cookie and confront her about the diss.
