Ariana Grande has been up to more than just taking selfies of her newly outed curls.

Ariana Grande Shows Her Real, Curly Hair

Glee and American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy recently interviewed the singer and actress for V magazine, following their work together on Murphy's new Fox show Scream Queens. The show -- which premieres Tuesday night (Sept. 22) -- seems to have bonded the duo and elevated them to friendship status.

The interview spans everything from Grande’s experience on Scream Queens to her views on the LGBTQ community and the negative attention given to her public image. Perhaps most interesting is Grande’s discussion of her upcoming album, Moonlight. As Murphy acknowledges, Grande has been through a very public breakup with Big Sean this past year, and fans are suckers for post-breakup music (see Selena Gomez’s "The Heart Wants What It Wants" or Taylor Swift's whole catalog), but Grande is going in another direction.

Ariana Grande Hints at 'Moonlight' Release Date on Twitter

"People found out quite a while after [the breakup] actually happened," she said. "By the time I was writing the new album, I had kind of moved on. It's not going to be captured on the album too much. I'm in a happy place. There aren't any breakup anthems because I had moved on. I was like, 'All right. Well, f--- it.'"
