Justin Bieber's 'What Do You Mean' Lyric Video Has Leaked
Justin Bieber's big return is gathering momentum, fast. And by the weekend the pop star's career should be back in its regular, irrepressible swing when he delivers the debut performance of his new song 'What Do You Mean" at the MTV Video Music Awards.
"What Do You Mean" is the first release from Bieber's forthcoming studio album. Beliebers with a talent for snooping won't have to wait that long to wait. Because a leak of its lyric video is doing the rounds online.
First, on Bieber's comeback song itself. It's a bouncing pop tune with a Caribbean flavor which opens on (and returns to) a thoughtful piano refrain. Lyrically, the 21-year-old is trying to wrap his head around some perplexing relationship issues. "What do you mean, when you don't want me to move, but you tell me to go," he sings. This is the young-adult version of Bieber.
Its accompanying black-and-white video follows skateboarders Ryan Sheckler and Chelsea Castro on a typical day out. A shirtless Bieber gets a brief chance toward the end to showcase his talents on a board (Skrillex recently told an interviewer that Bieber was pretty impressive on four wheels).
The Canadian artist returned to the stage at the Billboard Hot 100 Festival last weekend, almost two years after his last major tour wrapped up. Sources tell Billboard that Bieber’s new album will be released on Nov. 13.
