Ed Sheeran Getting Honorary Degree for 'Outstanding Contribution to Music'
Though he never completed his A-levels, Ed Sheeran is about to get a college diploma for his "outstanding contribution to music."
The University Campus Suffolk, not far from Sheeran's native Framlingham, will honor the singer in a graduation ceremony later this year. "Suffolk is very much where I call home and I'm always welcomed back and get so much support," he told the BBC. "Receiving this recognition is a real privilege."
Though he quit school at 16, Sheeran is currently on a world tour supporting platinum-selling album x, which has now yielded four top 20 singles.
