World's best wingman Ed Sheeran has helped yet another friend propose on stage. The “Thinking Out Loud” hitmaker invited Glen Hansard (of Once, The Swell Season and The Frames) and Kodaline up to perform with him at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland -- and he topped that collaboration off with a prompt for Kodaline bassist Jason Boland to propose to his girlfriend.

Less than a week ago, Sheeran played a part in the engagement of Rixton’s Jake Roche and Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson at Manchester Arena, performing an acoustic take of his song “Tenerife Sea” during the couple’s special moment.

“Thank you to Kodaline and Glen Hansard for joining me on stage today to sing some tunes. And congratulations to Jay, what a way to propose!” Sheeran tweeted after his Croker set on Saturday, July 25. Earlier in the day, he teased that he had "something planned for tonight you won't expect."

The “Jay” that Ed is referring to in his tweet is, of course, Boland. Goss.ie reports that Sheeran announced, “Jason, you’ve something to say,” and Boland then proposed to Etaoin Corr. According to the publication, she said yes.

At the show, Sheeran, Hansard and Kodaline performed Irish classics “Molly Malone” (also known as “In Dublin’s Fair City”) and “The Auld Triangle” together.

“Someone asked, 'Are you Ed’s granddad?'" Hansard is quoted as joking.
