Ed Sheeran has weighed in on the Taylor Swift/Nicki Minaj Twitter Video Music Award "feud," and to the surprise of no one, he's totally Team Taylor.

"She didn't nominate herself for the awards," Sheeran told The Daily Telegraph about the online brouhaha following Swift's response to Minaj's remarks. "It's not her fault, she just made some good videos and people think they're good....And I think the Minaj point is a bit redundant, her point is that you have to be skinny and white to get a video of the year nomination but Beyoncé's '7/11' is in there and that is celebrating the female figure in every form."

Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj Trade Barbs on Twitter Due To VMAs Snub

The whole thing started when Minaj tweeted her disappointment over not being nominated for the MTV Video of the Year award for her buzzy hit "Anaconda." On Twitter, she explained, in part, "If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year."

Swift took this as a snub against her and "Bad Blood," which was nominated, writing to Minaj, "I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot."

Katy Perry Calls Out Taylor Swift on Nicki Minaj VMA Exchange

After all that, Katy Perry decided the time had come for her to weigh in, seemingly taking issue with Swift's remarks, writing, "Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman."

And now Sheeran has given his thoughts. Any other major pop acts have some opinions they're dying to share?
