The Bird and the Bee Pay Tribute to 'Los Angeles' in Sunny New Video: Exclusive
Indie pop duo The Bird and the Bee take fans over to the left coast in their new video, "Los Angeles," premiering below exclusively on Billboard. The L.A. natives wanted to pay tribute to their hometown, and decided to write a "love letter to the city," as Greg Kurstin put it.
"I thought it would be interesting to try and express that by gently tagging the whole city with flyers, chalk, washable ink and washable spray paint," singer and producer Inara George adds of the video, which shows her visiting some of the city's most defining landmarks, and leaving her mark in the form of the song's lyrics. "Can you tell that I am not at all a bad ass?"
The video comes ahead of the release of the band's fourth album, Recreational Love, which will be officially released on July 17. "I feel really proud of Recreational Love; I think it's our best work yet," Kurstin says. "Inara and I spent a lot of time perfecting its sound and I'm so happy we can finally share it with our fans...and hopefully make some new fans, too.”
The album is now available for streaming on Spotify -- listen to the full record below:
