"Robert is a genius! I was blown away when I saw him live," Ward tells Billboard. "I always love his sounds and he picks the perfect one for each moment on this remix. Also I love the pocket and the way he tweaked the rhythm of the original, it's so cool!”

DeLong also described some of the ways he tweaked the original to Billboard. “One of my favorite production techniques is taking a nice pop song and re-harmonizing, pitch-shifting vocals, and adjusting vocal rhythms to create a more sinister feel," says DeLong. "I think this remix benefited from this sort of treatment.

"It was a lot of fun to try and create some drum programming that pushed and pulled rhythmically against her lyrical delivery," he adds.
