Joss Stone has "The Answer" on the latest track off her upcoming seventh album Water For Your Soul, the third on her own Stone'd label. The soul singer takes on a more worldly sound with her latest single, which she co-wrote with Barbadian reggae musician Dennis Bovell. “He’s like a reggae encyclopedia," she says of her collaborator, "and he can really sing. His pitch and range is massive. He’s funny too, a great person to work with.”
"This song is full of all sorts of influences, with fiddles, gospel choir and different rhythms including baiao and calypso," Stone tells Billboard. "There are no rules to being happy in this world of music. This song is about letting go of your worries -- be free, have a dance, don't waste your days worrying about what might be. Life is what you make it. Goodness is bright!"
