Mariah Carey Gets Up Close With Fans at Las Vegas Opener: Watch

Mariah Carey has opened her residency on the Las Vegas Strip with all the glitter and hits you’d expect from the pop superstar. And if a fan-filmed video is anything to go by, Mariah gets up close and personal with the crowd during her set. 

A clip posted on Instagram shows the pop superstars singing "Always Be My Baby" from the ground-level, performing the song at touching distance for scores of die-hard fans.

The Grammy winner joins the ranks of Celine Dion, Elton John, Rod Stewart and Shania Twain as artists who’ve taken up residency at The Colosseum. Watch the clip below:

Called Mariah Carey #1 To Infinity, the show is timed with the debut of Carey's newest breakup single and music video, titled "Infinity." 

Mariah can be expected to get up close to lucky ticket-holders when she performs at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, which will air live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas on ABC May 17.

The multi-million-selling artist recently signed with Epic Records and she’s working with new management and publicists. Her stint at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace will run through July.
