Kevin McHale On Glee's Direction & His Future Music Plans

Glee's Kevin McHale is ready to speak frankly about the show.

When he joined The HuffPost Show last week, he spoke with sometimes brutal honesty, nodding to Glee's falling off on the later seasons. The hosts asked about the possibility of a spin-off starring Lea Michele, he said he didn't think anything like that would happen and provided a good reason why.

"Towards the end, there weren't that many people watching Glee. So I don't know how many people would then watch a spinoff," he said. "We're off the air for a reason."

He also said he felt like the show never bounced back after star Cory Monteith's death.

"When Cory Monteith died. I don't think the show ever came back from that," he explained. "It wasn't for a lack of trying, but the story was going in one direction with his character and he was one of two main characters of the show."

He continued, "I think after that the vibe on set was different. It was just weird for us being there never mind actually having to be filming. Being one of the writers in that sort of situation -- I wouldn't have known what I would have done because I was like, 'I don't really even want to be here.'"
