Rihanna performs onstage during DirecTV Super Saturday Night hosted by Mark Cuban's AXS TV and Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Strahan at Pendergast Family Farm on January 31, 2015 in Glendale, Arizona.

After Rihanna previewed her next solo album with the single "FourFiveSeconds," the pop superstar has unveiled the first taste of an entirely separate project: a soundtrack to the upcoming Dreamworks animated film Home. Check out Rihanna's "Towards the Sun," the first single from the soundtrack, which is now available in iTunes.

"Turn your face towards the sun/Let your shadows fall behind you," Rihanna advises on the uplifting track, which finds the singer leading a choir and running away from ethereal chants at various points. Musically, "Towards the Sun" hits a "Diamonds"-esque mid-tempo groove, and while the production contains more detail than the stripped-down "FourFiveSeconds," "Sun" is restrained enough to elegantly bypass the dance-pop sound that defines much of Rihanna's career.

In addition to providing the first single from the Home soundtrack, Rihanna "curated" the compilation, in the same way Lorde helmed the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack last fall; according to TIME, artists like Charli XCX and Jennifer Lopez have contributed to the forthcoming album. Home, about aliens coming to earth, will be released to theaters on Mar. 27.

Rihanna is expected to also release her official follow-up to 2012's Unapologetic in 2015. "FourFiveSeconds," featuring Kanye West and Paul McCartney, has peaked at No. 4 on the Hot 100 chart.
