"Taylor Swift is very strategic with her friends and enemies," he said. "And I know lots of secrets. I can't divulge, but I know a lot of stuff about her. And I'm scared. I'm scared for my life."
Necessary thing to note here: Diplo is on-again, off-again with Katy Perry; Perry and Swift reportedly aren't exactly each other's biggest fans. To be fair, Diplo also sounds like he's joking around here. It's extremely unlikely he's actually afraid for his safety.
Regardless, GQ changed the quote almost immediately after publishing the article, removing the Swift reference from their site. Diplo's quote now reads, "So many great albums came out that week, and all people talked about, on all the big press, was Me vs. Lorde, and Kim Kardashian's butt. No one covered any music. And it's funny, because me and Lorde, we're actually friends."
His "friend" Lorde will likely have something to say about the Swift comment.
UPDATE: A rep for GQ said the quote was removed because the full Diplo story provides context. When that full story is on their site soon, this post will be updated.
UPDATE 2: The full Diplo story is now available.
