Haim Starts Work on New Album
Haim has started recording sessions for their sophomore album.
The sister act is back in the studio working on the follow-up to the well-received Days Are Gone, and they're teaming up again with the producer of that Columbia debut, Ariel Rechtshaid.
Este Haim let fans in on the secret when she posted a picture from her Twitter account of Reichstaid at work, along with the caption "Here we go again". A poster of David Bowie looms large over the producer, who has also worked with the likes of Vampire Weekend and Sky Ferreira, and MNEK, the London songwriter who teamed-up on Disclosure's album.
Days Are Gone debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 upon its release. Este, Danielle and Alana Haim, who grew up in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley, went on to become the first sister trio to receive a nomination for best new artist at the upcoming Grammy Awards.
The rockin' siblings told Rolling Stone last year that, for their next effort, they would draw inspiration from Kanye West. "We're always writing and figuring out new vibes and trying to get our inner Kanyes out," said Alana. Este added, "We're going to tap into our inner Kanye."
