Rock in Rio USA Lineup: Sam Smith, Charli XCX, Jessie J & More Added

Bleachers, Tove Lo, Empire of the Sun, Echosmith & more have also been added to the Las Vegas fest's two weekends.

A bunch of new A-listers have been added to 2015's Rock in Rio USA, as the international festival celebrates its 30th year by hitting Las Vegas for back-to-back weekends in May.

Sam Smith, Charli XCX, Jessie J, Bleachers, Tove Lo, Empire of the Sun and Echosmith are among the artists just announced to play Rock in Rio's first Stateside showing, set for May 8-9 and May 15-16. The lineup additions were announced Tuesday (Jan. 13) alongside a live performance from Charli XCX at a press event hosted at the Village Studios in Los Angeles.

Held in the Vegas strip's open-air City of Rock venue, the festival is divided along genre lines, with rock acts playing the first weekend and pop-leaning acts playing the second.

Sunset Stage: Deftones, Sepultura (feat. Steve Vai), Coheed and Cambria, Of Mice & Men

May 15
Main Stage: Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Echosmith, Ivete Sangalo
Sunset Stage: Jessie J, Charli XCX, Tove Lo, James Bay

May 16
Main Stage: Bruno Mars, Sam Smith, Empire of the Sun
Sunset Stage: John Legend, Joss Stone, Magic!, Mikky Ekko
