Opening night of Kate Bush: Before The Dawn live at The Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith in London, Britain on August 26, 2014.

This year, the ever-enchanting Kate Bush returned to the stage following a 35-year absence from live music. Now that her Before the Dawn tour is all over, the British singer decided to open her heart and share a delightful letter with her fans.

“Now all the shows are over, it's pretty difficult to explain how I feel about it all,” Bush began, writing on her official site. “It was quite a surreal journey that kept its level of intensity right from the early stages to the end of the very last show. It was also such great fun.”

More on Kate Bush:

Bush wrapped the tour on Oct. 1, and after three weeks of letting it all settle in, it seems the crowds and her fellow performers are still on her mind.

“I loved the whole process. Particularly putting the band, the Chorus and the team together and watching it all evolve. It really was the ultimate combination of talent and artists, both from the music business and the theatre world.”

And on the crowds:

“One of the main reasons for wanting to perform live again was to have contact with that audience…  I just never imagined it would be possible to connect with an audience on such a powerful and intimate level; to feel such, well, quite frankly, love.”

Is Bush looking to feel more of that love on a follow-up tour? We don’t know yet. For now, relive her Aug. 26 performance at London’s Hammersmith Apollo in Billboard’s review.
