Mariah Carey launched her Elusive Chanteuse Show tour in Japan on Saturday on an off note, struggling vocally through the performance at Tokyo's Makuhari Messe Arena.

In videos circulating the web since, the diva clearly had trouble hitting her typically soaring high notes and even seems to have forgotten lyrics to her hit "We Belong Together," though that could be attributed to equipment failure as her specialty butterfly microphone stand broke.

Carey's tour dates currently run through mid-November with dates in Southeast Asia and Australia.

The singer's 14th and latest studio album, Me. I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse, debuted in the U.S. at No. 3 with 58,000 sales.

So far no American tour dates have been announced.
