The Asteroids Galaxy Tour

Danish pop group The Asteroids Galaxy Tour is perhaps best known to U.S. audiences for having its delicious electro-pop single “Around The Bend” featured in an Apple commercial for the iPod Touch in 2008. Since then, the group has consistently released enjoyable pop tunes, and next week will release its third album, Bring Us Together, which you can stream exclusively on below:

Bring Us Together, due out on Sept. 16, follows the group’s 2012 sophomore effort Out of Frequency, and finds the group’s Mette Lindberg and Lars Iversen embracing more of an electronic sound this time around. Lindberg says that the album finds the group “getting to a new place” after forming the new song ideas on the road.

“A lot of the ideas for Bring Us Together came about while we were on tour for the last album,” adds Iversen. “I only had a little portable studio with me in the tour bus so a lot of these song snippets were based more on programmed beats and samples rather than traditional song structures with proper recorded instruments. When we got back to our studio in Copenhagen we found that aesthetically we were getting into this new and slightly more electronic sort of sound.”

Bring Us Together can be pre-ordered here, with first single “My Club” included as an instant download. The Asteroids Galaxy Tour will live up to its name and tour the U.S. next month — full dates below:
