St. Lucia Debuts Three New Tracks, Announces Fall Tour: Exclusive Quote

Fresh off a headlining North American tour that saw them selling out all 23 shows, Brooklyn-based electro-pop band St. Lucia has re-issued debut "When The Night" with three new tracks. The deluxe edition, out today on iTunes and other digital services, features the propulsive, tropical dance party "Forgiveness" and romantic, sax-tinged ballads "Cold Case" and "Out Tonight," which seamlessly blend frontman-producer Jean-Philip Grobler's diverse influences from the 80s, 90s and early 00s.

"For most of the time that I was creating 'When the Night,' all three of these tracks were meant to be on the album," Grobler tells Billboard. "As time wore on, however, and I wrote more and more material, it seemed to me that some of the newer tracks, like 'The Night Comes Again' and 'When the Night' worked in the flow of the album better. My intention was always to make an album that worked well as a flow of moods, and after listening through the album probably hundreds of times, I decided to go with the way it is now. That isn't to say that I feel like any of these tracks are lesser tracks, but they fell by the wayside in consideration of the bigger picture, and for a more concise album."

Gimme Five: St. Lucia's Biggest Musical Influences

To coincide with the expanded music, St. Lucia will embark on an even bigger North American tour this fall, playing the largest headlining gigs to date at venues like Los Angeles' Fonda Theatre and New York's Terminal 5. Fellow indie-poppers Joywave, The Knocks and Haerts will split opening duties. Tickets for most dates go on sale Wednesday (June 18) at
