Demi Lovato appeared on  "Late Night with Seth Meyers" last night sounding like she'd just binge watched a load of History Channel documentaries.

The self-described "huge fan of conspiracy theories" admitted that she not only thinks but "knows" aliens are real, asking, "How self-centered would we be as humans to believe that we are the only living things in the universe?"

Lovato is pretty big on mermaids, too. She tells Myers she saw an "extremely convincing documentary" on them, to which he quips, "Oh, 'The Little Mermaid?'" to a gaggle of laughter.

She continues to expand on her theories, saying mermaids could be an "alien species that lives in parts of the Indian Ocean we've never explored before." Apparently Christopher Columbus saw three of them on his way to America, or so Lovato claims.

To set the record straight, though, the singer does not believe in Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster and isn't sure about the moon landing.
