Listen to a new track from the group's debut Columbia full-length, premiering on Billboard.com.
The alternative folk troupe Matrimony will release its debut album, "Montibello Memories," on May 6 through Columbia Records, Billboard can exclusively announce. Before the Charlotte group heads down to Austin for South By Southwest, check out the new song "Southern Skies," launching on Billboard.com:
Matrimony keeps its rumbling, finely honed sound in the family: the group is fronted by the husband-wife duo Jimmy Brown and Ashlee Hardee Brown, with Hardee Brown's brothers, Jordan and CJ, rounding out the group on drums and banjo/mandolin, respectively. The band made its Columbia debut last year with the EP "Montibello Drive," but based on "Southern Skies," "Montibello Memories" promises to expand upon the rustic sound of that four-song release, with the help of producer Jay Joyce (Cage The Elephant, Gillian Welch).
