Anticipation reaches fever pitch for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" soundtrack with the arrival of Christina Aguilera's "We Remain," a mid-tempo ballad that finds the singer tamping down the vocal gymnastics for a natural and forceful message of perseverance.

"Burn me with fire, Drown me with rain," she sings in the uplifting chorus. "I'm gonna wake up, screaming your name. Yes I'm a sinner, yes I'm a saint. Whatever happens here. Whatever happens here… We Remain."

On Twitter last week, Aguilera told fans she loves the "underlying message" of "The Hunger Games" and calls her contribution to the soundtrack a "special new song."

The triumphant track was released on iTunes on Tuesday and is the third release from the soundtrack, after Coldplay's "Atlas" and Sia's "Elastic Heart." Other featured artists include Imagine Dragons, Lorde, The National and The Lumineers.

The album will be released Nov. 19 via Republic Records, three days before the film hits theaters on Nov. 22. The first film's soundtrack, which featured Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars, among others, topped the Billboard 200 album chart last year and won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
