Taylor Swift Suprises Staples Center Audience with Ellie Goulding Duet: Watch Here
Continuing her streak of famous friends hitting the stage with her, Swift came through with a buddy again.
At this point, fans attending Taylor Swift's "Red" tour concerts expect a surprise guest. Recently she's brought out Cher Lloyd, Carly Simon, and duo Teegan and Sara. And since she's one to give he people what they want, Taylor again brought out a singing pal Friday (Aug. 23) at Los Angeles' Staples Center.
“We have an incredible, insanely talented, incredibly cool artist about to come out on stage to sing for you," Taylor teased. "She’s not from around here. She’s actually from the U.K.”
And not after many more words, Goulding sprouted from beneath the stage and began singing her “Anything Could Happen,” which once peaked at No. 47 on the Hot 100.
Swift spent the first verse hanging on by Ellie’s right shoulder, breaking away for brief varsity cheerleader-like moves. But when it came time for the second verse, Swift handled the singing, making Goulding’s hit a duet.
"So much fun," Goulding Instagrammed after the performance. "Love that girl."
