Gimme Five: Megan & Liz's Debut Album Influences
Megan & Liz, the teen-sister duo responsible for one of the most enjoyable pop singles of the summer ("Release You"), is prepping its debut studio album, "Look What You Started," for a late summer release. "Release You," which was produced by Max Martin and Shellback, previews a full-length that the 20-year-olds say will draw from a very, very diverse collection of musical influences.
When Megan & Liz stopped by the Billboard studio last month to discuss their musical ongoings and perform a pair of acoustic tracks, the duo named five major influences on "Look What You Started" for the latest edition of Pop Shop's "Gimme Five" series. From Skrillex (?) to Lil Wayne (!!), check out the artists that the Mace sisters have been playing nonstop to get an idea of what their album will sound like.
