Justin Bieber Investigated For Battery at L.A. Home
Allegations of battery have been made against 19-year-old pop superstar Justin Bieber, who was involved in an incident at his home in Calabasas, Calif. on Tuesday morning (Mar. 26).
According to a report by TMZ, Bieber and a male neighbor were involved in a verbal altercation early on Tuesday morning, and the unnamed neighbor is claiming that the two came into physical contact. Bieber and his team are reportedly denying that any contact was made during the argument, which allegedly concerned the noise level coming from Bieber's residence while the singer was on tour.
L.A. County Sheriff senior media advisor Steve Whitmore tells Billboard that the Sheriff's Department did receive a call around 9:00 am PT on Tuesday morning, and that allegations of battery against Bieber were made. Whitmore could not go into the details of the incident but said, "We're investigating as we speak." No arrests have been made at this time.
A representative for Bieber did not immediately return a request for comment.
Bieber is currently in the middle of an international tour supporting his "Believe" and "Believe Acoustic" albums. Whitmore confirmed that, despite being in the middle of a European run with a stop in Vienna, Austria on Saturday night, Bieber was indeed home in Calabasas on Tuesday morning.
March has been a month to forget for Bieber, who posted on Twitter that he had his "worst birthday" yet on Mar. 1 and fainted backstage after a concert in London later that week. On Monday, Bieber inexplicably removed his shirt while passing through security airport in Lodz, Poland -- the latest incident in his recent shirtless exploits.
