Katy Perry is no stranger to a high-production, high-octane performance -- look no further than her kaleidoscopic 2015 Super Bowl halftime set for proof -- so the news of her planning a Las Vegas residency is a thrilling prospect.

On the new Pop Shop Podcast, we talk all about the potential residency, which Billboard reported last week is set to begin later this year at the brand-new Resorts World hotel/casino on the Las Vegas Strip and go into 2022. What could it possibly look like? What will the setlist be? Will Katy have some say in how the in-construction theater is designed?

In addition to talk of Perry's residency, we also discuss some other artists we would love to see set up shop in Las Vegas -- so listen to the new episode below to hear all about our thoughts and more.

Also on the show, we’ve got chart news about Cardi B’s “Up” going up to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time and how Morgan Wallen meets Whitney Houston and Stevie Wonder in chart history on the Billboard 200 chart.
