This New Music Friday (Nov. 22) has the best stories to accompany the week's biggest releases -- even if they involve some cringe-worthy encounters.

Billboard's First Stream Live podcast (listen below) digs into these tales from Beck and Haim, as well as new jams from Coldplay's double album Everyday Life, PARTYNEXTDOOR's pair of singles "The News" and "Loyal" featuring his OVO boss Drake, Kesha's latest bop "My Own Dance" and more.

Beck just released his star-studded new album Hyperspace, which was co-produced by Pharrell and features Sky Ferreira on "Die Waiting" and Coldplay's Chris Martin on "Stratosphere." During an interview with Apple Music this week, he recalled meeting a superstar: Prince. The "Purple Rain" pop icon presented Beck with the album of the year honor at the 2015 Grammys for his ninth studio album Morning Phase, but they also shared a much lower-key interaction. "I remember Prince walking by once with three very large imposing bodyguards and I’d heard that you don’t look at him," he said in the interview. "I walked by and I did a look and he was coming the other way and somebody elbowed me and said, ‘Did you hear that?’ And I said, ‘What?’ He just very quietly said, ‘Hi Beck.’ … He just sort of whispered it.”

For Danielle Haim of Haim -- whose band just dropped the new song "Hallelujah" this week -- her first starstruck run-in with Justin Timberlake didn't go super smoothly. She told Apple Music's Beats 1 in an interview this week about meeting Timberlake at a party and complimenting a record of his that inspired the band's own -- except she didn't say the right title. "I was flustered and saying, ‘Oh my gosh, thank you so much you don’t understand we listened to your record while making our record,'" she said, referring to JT's sophomore album FutureSex/LoveSounds. "He was like, ‘Really?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, ‘Blood Sugar Sex Magik’ -- and then he looks at me with this confused face and was like, ’Thank you, but I’m not the Red Hot Chili Peppers.’”
