La Santa Cecilia

Welcome to the all-new episode of Billboard's Latin Connection Podcast featuring Grammy-winning band La Santa Cecilia's lead singer La Marisoul and band member Miguel "Oso."

The pair visited our Los Angeles offices for a candid interview about their forthcoming visual album titled Amar Y Vivir due May 12. The new record was recorded live in the streets of Mexico City and features collabs with artists like Mon Laferte and Eugenia León.

"I was kind of hesitant about recording a visual album," La Marisoul tells the Latin Connection Podcast. "This has been the album of our dreams and we didn't want to mess it up."

La Santa Cecilia also talks about "geeking out" when they met Meme from Café Tacvba in Mexico City and what it meant to be able to travel to Mexico to record the audiovisual and pay homage to Latin American folk music and legendary singers like Juan Gabriel and José Alfredo Jiménez.
