Zayn, Kendrick Lamar, Local Natives & More: Must-Hear Music Podcast

Miller Mobley

The impact of Drake is strong on this week's Must-Hear Music podcast, via new songs from Kendrick Lamar and Zayn.

No, Drizzy himself isn't on either track we discuss, but Zayn's trop-pop "Still Got Time" ft. PartyNextDoor finds the former boy bander taking a very Drake approach to romance and sex. Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar's "The Heart Part 4" sees Compton's finest taking clear aim at President Trump as well as oblique shots at a hip-hop competitor; So far, Twitter and critics seem to think Drake is the rapper K.Dot is after.

Aside from chatting about new songs from Zayn and Kendrick, we also talk about Local Natives' unique release strategy for "I Saw You Close Your Eyes" and the devastating story behind Mount Eerie's stark, masterful new album A Crow Looked at Me.
