In this week's Latin Connection Podcast, we dedicate our show to the late singer Juan Gabriel who passed away unexpectedly Sunday at 66 years old. 

Leaving behind a rich music legacy, the chart-topping singer and songwriter actually wrote more than 1,800 songs throughout his career that had a span of more than four decades, co-hosts Leila Cobo and Griselda Flores share their favorite JuanGa tracks throughout the show.

On Wednesday (Aug. 31), the "Querida" singer's family announced a memorial service slated for Juárez, Mexico, this upcoming weekend.

"We are still in the process of making final arrangements, but we expect to have a memorial service in Juarez this weekend, which will be followed by a public celebration of our father’s life and his musical career as 'Juan Gabriel' in the coming weeks. We will provide additional information on the Juan Gabriel Facebook page as these events are finalized," they said in a statement.
