Pop Shop Podcast featuring: The Go-Go's

Welcome to the new episode of the Pop Shop Podcast, Billboard's weekly audio breakdown of the Billboard charts, hottest music news and year's biggest musical events. Casual pop fans and chart junkies can hear Billboard co-director of charts Keith Caulfield and Billboard.com senior editor Katie Atkinson every Tuesday on the Pop Shop Podcast, which can be streamed on Billboard.com or downloaded in iTunes (click here to listen to the previous episode).

On our latest show, we welcome Go-Go’s' Charlotte Caffey and Gina Schock! We caught up with the ladies as they were preparing to head out on the road for the band’s Farewell Tour, which launched Tuesday (Aug. 2). The trek travels across the U.S. through August and concludes on Aug. 30 in Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre. We chatted with Caffey and Schock backstage at the Billboard Music Awards in May, where they discussed why this tour is a “farewell,” if we might hear new music on the road, and what surprises they might spring on audiences.

Plus, Keith and Katie discuss some of their favorite live concert memories -- from Katie’s guardian angel granting her amazing seats at a Radiohead show to Keith seeing Madonna at Dodger Stadium.

In addition, we’ve got our usual chart chat about the spectacular No. 2 debut of Major Lazer’s “Cold Water” on the Billboard Hot 100 (featuring Justin Bieber and MO), Sia’s continued rule at No. 1 with “Cheap Thrills,” and Drake’s unstoppable No. 1 run on the Billboard 200 with Views.
