Must Hear Music Podcast: Radiohead, Ariana Grande, and Anohni

2016 has been a huge year for surprise (and surprise-ish) releases. It's also been a big year for beloved artists releasing start-to-finish fantastic albums. The latest in both categories is A Moon Shaped Pool, the unexpectedly accessible new album from long-running U.K. outfit Radiohead.

On this week's Must-Hear Music podcast, we discuss "Burn the Witch," "Daydreaming" and how this is the kind of record that will welcome back old Radiohead fans who tuned out for their more experimental albums.

Radiohead Aiming for Sixth No. 1 Album on Billboard 200

In the less brooding category, we talk about Ariana Grande's "Into You," a dancefloor bop that previews her Dangerous Woman album. And in the significantly more brooding category, we talk about the title track to Anohni's Hopelessness, a beautiful piece of electronic drama that weaves a horrifying (and true) picture of our planet.

Back in the realm of music that makes you feel good, we also talk about the first single from Red Hot Chili Peppers' new album, "Dark Necessities," a track we all agree sounds surprisingly relevant for a band this far into their career (We also think it should have been called "Dank Necessities").

Cyndi Lauper Swings Thru the Pop Shop Podcast

Finally, we chat about Cyndi Lauper's country covers album Detour, which includes her collaboration with Alison Krauss on Dolly Parton's lovely "Hard Candy Christmas."
