The Alt in Our Stars Podcast: featuring Bully

Alt-rock bands don’t get signed by major labels like they used to, but that hasn’t phased Bully. The Nashville quartet released its killer debut album Feels Like on the Columbia Records imprint StarTime in June 2015, and the results sound pretty darn good.

Bully frontwoman Alicia Bognanno and drummer Stewart Copeland stopped by Billboard’s New York office for the Alt In Our Stars podcast, and talked about what it’s like to be a young band on a major label these days... in addition to many other, far sillier topics.

Fresh off festivals like Made In America and Shadow of the City, Bully gave insight into touring life, especially for bands traveling in vans with limited wi-fi and/or chargers. They talked about living in Nashville, old school Nickelodeon, and why Bognanno (a native Minnesotan) thinks the New York Times’ story about the state loving grape salad for Thanksgiving is way off.
