We're halfway through 2015 already, so this week on the Must-Hear Music podcast, we're taking a deep breath and looking back on the main MHM crew's favorite albums and songs of the year so far.

For Erika Ramirez, we're looking at Donnie Trumpet & the Social Experiment's Surf, D.R.A.M.'s "Cha Cha" and talking a little Kendrick, of course.

Jason Lipshutz tosses his support behind Future's "Fuck Up Some Commas" as his favorite rap track of the year, and chooses Sufjan Stevens' "The Only Thing" as the song that's had the biggest emotional impact on him.

For me, my favorite rock song of 2015 actually comes from Jason's pick for favorite 2015 album so far -- Courtney Barnett's Sometimes I Sit and Think, And Sometimes I Just Think. The song in question is "Pedestrian at Best." In the album realm, I'm pointing to Florence + the Machine's very listenable How Big How Blue How Beautiful. As for my favorite song of 2015 thus far, I'm going with Miguel's gorgeous, sensual "Coffee" (the Wale-less version, but no shade on him).
