Chance the Rapper, Muse, Gorillaz, Lorde Announced for 2017 Life Is Beautiful Festival

Tickets go on sale this Friday for the fifth annual downtown Las Vegas festival.

Chance the Rapper, Muse, Gorillaz, Lorde, Blink-182, The xx and Kaskade are among the marquee acts announced for the fifth annual Life Is Beautiful Festival which runs Sept. 22-24 in downtown Las Vegas. A limited amount of advance tickets for the event go on sale this Friday (April 27).

The music portion will feature more than 60 acts, including Wiz Khalifa, Pretty Lights, MGMT, Cage The Elephant, ScHoolboy Q, HAIM, 2 Chainz, ZHU, Slightly Stoopid, Milky Chance, Zeds Dead, Two Door Cinema Club, Pusha T, Tycho, De La Soul, Capital Cities, Local Natives, Vince Staples, Sean Paul, Kiesza and Mondo Cozmo among many others (full line-up below).

But music is only one aspect of this multi-hued festival which also includes art, food, comedy and ideas. 

For the fest's art experience the promoters are bringing back the Art Motel installation, which will be re-imagined by Santa Fe art collective Meow Wolf. Returning for the second year is “Crime on Canvas,” an exhibition allowing attendees to purchase original artwork by prominent local, national and international artists. The gallery will display work by Matt Skiba, Mark Ryden, Shag, Tara McPherson, Shepard Fairey, Brandon Boyd and many others.

"America's favorite scientist" Bill Nye will return to Life is Beautiful with the mission of educating and intellectually stimulating festival goers as part of the event's Ideas Series. Nye last appeared in 2015.

The comedy showcase will return with performances by top comedians, including: Matthew Broussard, Mike Lawrence, Jo Firestone, Solomon Georgio, Vladimir Caamaño, Dulce Sloan, Scout Durwood, Ryan O'Flanagan.

Earlier today, the festival revealed its lineup with a trailer (below) that both highlighted the festival's lineup and brought together some of Las Vegas’ top entertainers, including Cirque du Soleil's Mystère, KÀ, Michael Jackson ONE and The Beatles LOVE as well as Louie Anderson, Absinthe, Blue Man Group, Carrot Top and Piff the Magic Dragon.

2016's Life is Beautiful drew more than 137,000 attendees, with headliners Mumford & Sons, J. Cole, Major Lazer, G-Eazy, and The Lumineers among others.

Three-day passes will be on sale starting Thursday, April 27 at 10 a.m. (PST) on
LifeisBeautiful.com. A limited number of advance tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once the advance tickets sell out, regular general admission and VIP pricing will apply.

In the coming months, Life is Beautiful will be announcing street artists and installations as well as its expanded culinary experience.
