This year’s Glastonbury is set for June 22-26 at its usual spot at Worthy Farm in Pilton, England. The mammoth festival has not yet announced its lineup, but it is promising to have a great showing of female musicians.

"We are strong on women this year, I have to say,” festival co-organizer Emily Eavis told Noisey in a recent interview. “We’ve got a great bill coming together. In fact, we’re quite far down the line with that. Hopefully we’ll be able to give you some names soon.”

She did, however, go into a little bit of detail: “There are loads of great female MCs coming through this year which is quite exciting. Little Simz and Lady Leshurr and people like that.”

Last year’s Glastonbury featured Florence + the Machine as one of three main stage headliners. Mary J. Blige, Patti Smith, and Courtney Barnett were other prominent women on the bill.

Earlier this month, Coachella announced its 2016 lineup. It features no female-fronted headliners, but more women high on the lineup than the previous year. Another 2016 fest that’s already announced its lineup -- Sasquatch -- will feature Florence as one of its headliners
